2016 marks our 15th holiday season, celebrating family and friends, femininity and style, happiness and home. We are so grateful to be a part of countless holiday memories.

This time of year, we spend most of time in our favorite apron, covered in flour, testing new recipes and perfecting family favorites - like Grandma's Cocoons. (see recipe below!) Every year without fail Grandma would bake up a batch of these deliciously delicate bites of shortbread sugar cookie heaven. She filled her tins with layers of made-from-scratch Bourbon Balls, Walnut Fudge, Ambrosia and Cocoons. Every bite was pure joy and we never had a Christmas without.
Throughout the holidays, we are reminded of a time when cooking and baking for two or twenty was a celebration, and tying on an apron meant that love was the secret ingredient. We encourage the creativity of our children and grandchildren by showing them that the kitchen can be the heart of the home. With every new design and every collection of aprons, we celebrate the women from our past and those who inspire us in the present - because they are rich in tradition and fearlessly feminine.

Recipe: Grandma's Cocoons
1/2 lb butter
2 1/2 C flour
3 Tbsp confectioner's sugar + more for rolling
1 C finely chopped pecans
1 tsp vanilla extract
In a large bowl, cream butter then add flour, sugar and vanilla. Stir to combine. Add pecans and mix briefly. By hand, pinch and roll a piece of dough about the size and shape of your little finger. Place cocoons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 45 minutes in a slow oven (275-300F). While still hot, roll each cocoon in confectioner's sugar.
